Tucson, Ariz. – La Gente for Grijalva announced that the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) endorsed Adelita Grijalva in the upcoming Special Primary Election for Arizona’s seventh congressional district.
“Adelita Grijalva’s record of progressive leadership spans over two decades, serving on the school board for Southern Arizona’s largest public school district and the Pima County Board of Supervisors,” said Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC Co-Chairs Reps. Pramila Jayapal, Greg Casar and Maxwell Frost. “She promoted water resiliency, protected the environment, increased affordable housing, led the creation of infant and early learning centers, and drove early education funding to thousands of children from low-income families. She would be the first Latina to represent Arizona in Congress. Adelita is a proven, effective leader and we enthusiastically endorse her campaign.”
"I’m proud to have the endorsement of the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC," said Adelita Grijalva. "When elected, I look forward to working hand in hand with my colleagues at the CPC to advance our shared progressive values, including protecting our environment, expanding affordable health care for all, and standing up against the Trump-Musk agenda that is harming our communities. Together, we will fight for a better future for all— no matter who you are, where you come from, or where you live,” said Adelita Grijalva.
The Special Primary Election is scheduled for July 15, with the Special General Election scheduled for September 23. The voter registration deadline for the special primary is June 16, and early voting begins on June 18.
