Adelita Grijalva Launches Her First Ad in Democratic Primary for AZ-07
Tucson, Ariz. – Today, La Gente for Grijalva released its first television and digital ad, titled "Fight," ahead of the July 15 Special Election Democratic Primary in Arizona’s 7th Congressional District. The ad introduces voters to Adelita Grijalva’s lifelong fight for working families, drawing from her roots in Southern Arizona, her legacy of public service, and her unwavering commitment to protecting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
“My parents named me Adelita – it means fighter – and they taught me what that really means. It’s about standing up for the people who raised you, taught you, stood by you. You fight for people. You fight for community. And you never back down – especially when the stakes are this high. That’s why I’ve spent my life on the front lines in Southern Arizona because we deserve a community where no one has to go it alone. In Congress, I’ll fight to protect Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, not just as policies, but as promises we make to each other,” said Adelita Grijalva.
“Fight” begins airing this week across key media markets in the Seventh Congressional District and is part of the campaign’s broader push to emphasize the high stakes of this race, contrasting Grijalva’s frontline experience with extremist threats to America’s social safety net.
The full ad is available online here.
The Special Primary Election is scheduled for July 15, with the Special General Election scheduled for September 23. The voter registration deadline for the special primary is June 16, and early voting begins on June 18.
